Our 2014 Water Quality Report is now available and as always our Water Treatment department has done an excellent job delivering you safe clean drinking water. Each year more than 7,500 tests are performed in our Drinking Water Lab to ensure that our water supply is safe to drink.
The Fort Valley Utility Commission gets its water from the Tuscaloosa aquifer, which is approximately 500 feet below the surface. This aquifer has, so far, provided the City with a safe and dependable supply of water even in the driest years. Even with the plentiful supply of water in our area we encourage you to conserve water whenever possible and remember that the State of Georgia Water Stewardship act of 2010 does place certain restrictions on when and how water may be used.
